FL FAQ
Questions we hear on Bencoolen Street
Honest answers about our marketing agency, how we scope brand and content work, and what we do not do.
"FlareLife" — is this a wellness or lifestyle brand, a life-insurance company, something to do with flares or fire, or a "go viral guaranteed" service?
No to all of it. "FlareLife" is simply our brand name: a flare is a signal that gets noticed, and getting noticed for the right reason is what we do for clients. We are a brand, content and creative marketing agency on Bencoolen Street in Singapore — positioning, brand identity and design systems, content marketing and copywriting, editorial SEO, social media and creative campaigns. We have nothing to do with emergency or road flares, fire, pyrotechnics, energy or gas flaring, or medical flare-ups, and we give no health advice. The .life TLD and the word "life" in our name are branding only — this is not lifestyle, wellness, coaching, self-improvement, life insurance or financial services. We do not guarantee reach, rankings or sales, do not sell a course, and do not buy followers or engagement. Results depend on your product, market and budget — see our disclaimer on every page.
How does a first consultation or brand session work?
A 45-minute session in our Bras Basah studio or by video. We review your brief, existing brand assets, analytics if relevant, and constraints — budget, timeline, team capacity. You leave with an honest assessment and, if there is a fit, a written proposal with scope, deliverables, KPIs and fees. The session fee may be credited toward a project depending on scope. Submitting the contact form is not an engagement.
What budgets do Singapore clients typically start with?
Brand strategy and identity projects often begin from S$8,000–S$25,000 depending on complexity. Content marketing retainers from S$3,500–S$12,000 per month based on volume and channels. Creative campaigns are quoted per brief. We scope to your budget honestly — sometimes that means a smaller phase one. Ad spend for Google Ads or Meta Ads is separate from agency fees and paid by you directly to platforms.
Project versus retainer — which do you recommend?
Brand strategy, identity and launch campaigns suit fixed projects with clear hand-over. Content marketing, social media and ongoing SEO usually work better on a monthly retainer with a signed scope of work and reporting cadence. We will recommend what matches your team and KPIs, not what maximises our invoice.
How do you use AI tools?
AI assists research, draft copy, variant ideas and production efficiency. Strategy, final copywriting, art direction and client-facing decisions stay with our human team. We do not publish AI slop under your brand name, and we disclose AI use in proposals when material to deliverables.
How is enquiry and client data handled?
Under the PDPA. Enquiry data is used to respond and quote; client campaign data is handled per contract and our privacy policy. Contact [email protected] for access or correction requests.
What do you NOT do?
We do not guarantee rankings, leads, sales, ROI, ROAS or viral reach. We do not buy followers, bot traffic or fake engagement. We do not sell black-hat SEO, link farms or PBNs. We are not a marketing course, get-rich scheme, SaaS product or ad network. We do not offer wellness coaching, life insurance or health advice. We are a creative agency for brand and content — scoped honestly.
How does reporting work?
Monthly or per-campaign reports against KPIs agreed in the scope of work — engagement, traffic trends, content performance, conversion notes where tracked. Plain language, no vanity metrics unless you ask for them. We explain what moved, what did not, and what we recommend next without pretending past results guarantee yours.
How does a project start?
Proposal accepted → scope of work signed → deposit invoiced → kick-off on Bencoolen Street or video. Production begins only after both parties sign. That applies to brand identity, content marketing retainers and creative campaigns alike.
